Dufner and Woods In Another Akward Grouping at Memorial Tournament

Image result for tiger woods and dufnerQUICK PEEK
Jason Dufner and Tiger Woods are paired together in again since the 2015 incident where Tiger slept with Dufner's wife!

I'VE GOT SOME TIME
Media has leaked that one of the groupings at the Memorial this weekend will contain Tiger woods, Jason Dufner, and Justin Rose.

Most of us probably remember the incident in 2015 when Tiger and Amanda Dufner (Jason's wife) had an affair. They were paired not long after in 2015 which had the media in an uproar. Everyone watched waiting for some sort of conflict.

Although most guys would call that an unforgivable sin, Dufner seems to have forgiven Tiger. He said that they played golf together a couple times a week this off season. In fact, when Dufner was asked how he felt about the pairing he disregarded the whole thing. He spent his time talking about how the big and rowdy crowds that follow Tiger. He said he was used to it by now, since they have played together quite a bit.

He said he remembered the first time he was paired with Tiger. It was at the Australian Masters in 2009. He said Tiger had the whole golf course following them. All 25,000 people it seemed like. Watching the two play again will be very interesting.

Justin Thomas and Dustin Johnson Shows Their View On Their Rank in the World

QUICK PEEK
Justin Thomas doesn't care about being the best in the world at all. Dustin Johnson has his game back, but his putting might be lagging behind.

I'VE GOT SOME TIME
Interviewers recently took an inside look on how the worlds no. 1 and 2 feel about their game and position.

Justin Thomas was first as the world's no. 1. He said that he doesn't even care that he's the top player in the world. He said that he plays to win tournaments. He doesn't play for ranking. He used Phil Mickelson as an example. He said Phil has won hundreds of tournaments and majors and he is an easy hall of famer, but he isn't the best in the world anymore. He said being the best for a year or a month or however long is great, but after that people only remember the tournaments you won. So, He just wants to focus on his golf game and keep winning tournaments.

Then they went to the second best player in the world Dustin Johnson. DJ spent more time talking about his game than his rank. He said he feels like his game is very close to the point that it was last year, when he was the best player in the world. He said his putting is just streaky right now. He explained that if he could get his putting back to the way it was then maybe he could get back to the top.

Justin Rose Wins Fort Worth Invitational With a New Technique

QUICK PEEK
Justin Rose beats Brooks Koepka in the Fort Wort Invitational. The win shot him up to no. 3 in the world and no. 2 in the FedEx Cup. He used his new technique by tucking his shirt under his arm to do it.

I'VE GOT SOME TIME

Justin Rose pulled out a win at the Fort Worth Invitational. He shot a final score of 64 on Sunday going in with a four-shot lead.

Although the lead sound promising, Brooks Koepka followed very close. Koepka put the pressure on Rose, but couldn't ever close the deal.

Anyone who watched the tournament on television may have notice Rose's shirt being tucked up underneath his arm. This is a technique used for 2 reasons.

1. It keeps the triangle in a swing. The triangle is the shape your arms make with club at address and takeaway. The flat sides would be you arms and chest. The points would be every connecting angle. The triangle is the lifeline of a golf swing. Every pro has it.

2. It keeps the same triangle in the putting stroke. There are plenty of ways to put a golf ball. The most common however is the pendulum theory. You make the triangle and pivot around your shoulders. Him tucking his shirt underneath his arm kept him for using his hands in the stroke. This lowered the chances of a push or a pull.

This win did wonders for Rose. It just shot him up to no. 3 in the world! He jumped Jordan Spieth and John Rahm. However, Rose is still under Justin Thomas at no.1 and Dustin Johnson at no.2.

This win also shot Rose up to no. 2 in the FedEx Cup. Easy to say this couldn't have helped his career more.

I'VE GOT SOME TIME

Country music star Jake Owen competed in the Nashville Golf Open as an amateur. He had a mediocre first round with a score of 86. This event is from May 21-26.

A twitter spat helped Jake, along with Brandt Snedeker, turned his high score into a fundraising opportunity for Brandt's foundation NGO Birdies For Kids. Country singer Chris Young pledged $5,000 for every birdie Jake can manage to make. There are many other players, analyst, and country artists making pledges for Jake's performance.

Fort Worth Invitational

QUICK PEEK

The Fort Worth Invitation starts tomorrow (May 24, 2018). Round 1 is 4-7 pm ET on the Golf Channel. Can returning champion Kevin Kisner reclaim his title?

I'VE GOT SOME TIME

The Fort Worth Invitation was a nail biter last year as Kevin Kisner clawed his way to the top. He one by one stroke against Jordan Spieth, John Rahm, and Sean O'Hair.

The tournament is taking place in Colonial Country Club in Fort Worth, Texas. The course is a par 70 with a length of 7,209 yards.

One of the top contenders are Jordan Spieth. Jordan finished in 2nd, 1st, then 2nd again in his last three starts. He holds the record at 52 under par at the end of his four rounds.

Another interesting person to watch will be Rickie Fowler. This is his first start since he missed the cut at the Players. It will be fun to see how he can come back from such a poor finish.

Ryder Cup: Graeme McDowell as Europe's Newest Vice President

QUICK PEEK

Captain of Europe's Ryder Cup team has selected Graeme McDowell as the new vice captain. Graeme has a lot of confidence int heir underdog position.

I'VE GOT SOME TIME

Thomas Bjorn, Europe's Ryder Cup captain, has brought in a new vice captain Graeme McDowell.

Graeme Mcdowell is from northern Ireland. He plays on the PGA tour and the European tour. His greatest career accomplishment was winning the 2010 US Open at Pebble Beach. He was the first European player to win in 40 years. His career history stacks up quite nicely as one of the best European players on tour.

Graeme is coming in with the fire explaining that Europe hasn't been beaten on European soil since 1993. He is extremely confident in his home advantage. He is completely aware of the current momentum of the US, but it isn't worrying him. He seems to enjoy the underdog status Europe's team is slipping into. He explains to the media that winning individual majors is a lot different than winning the Ryder Cup. Although he is confident he has expressed multiple times how strong he knows the US team is.

With Justin Thomas holding the world ranking number 1 position, it shows their potential in the next Ryder Cup. We are also bringing the heat with the long-baller Dustin Johnson, the boy wonder Jordan Spieth, and of course the new and improved swing of Rickie Fowler. Although they have the home advantage, the ball is definitely in our court.
